Reaching the remote in the Republic of the Marshall Islands

Our ministry is based in the Marshall Islands. Our goal is to reach all the islands of this small country in the middle of the Pacific Ocean to share God’s love with all who we encounter. We use our sailboat to reach those places that could not be reached otherwise.  Our vision is to give a Marshallese Bible to every household on every island and to provide for their physical needs by bringing medical help, reading glasses, clothing, and much more.

Who we are

We are a family who heard God’s call to GO to the hardest to reach places in Micronesia in the fall of 2012. In response, we sold our home, flew to Hawaii to attend a Discipleship Training School with Youth With A Mission and became full-time volunteer missionaries. Then, we bought our boat, sailed to the Marshall Islands and have been based there in Ebeye since 2015, working in partnership with YWAM Ships Kona to serve the isolated.

Scott and Katie Suderno have pioneered a YWAM Ships Ministry in RMI and their solid commitment to the local community and the outer Islands has impacted many lives. I have personally sailed with them and sent students to do outreach with them therefore I can attest to the quality of their programs.

Captain Ann Ford - SONS leader at YWAM Ships Kona

We were so blessed to have Changing Focus Ministries come to Likiep and give us bibles in our own language. For some of us, this is the first bible we have ever owned.

Junior DeBrum - Acting Mayor of Likiep

This ministry is performing many facets of God’s work and meeting spiritual, physical, and mental needs of the people. CFM takes bibles, food goods, clothing and provides much needed medical attention in the remote islands of RMI.

Audrey Stoll - RN - YWAM Ships outreach

Sailing on Cloud Nine was amazing! Even when we were far from land and despite any unexpected events that may arise, I always felt safe under the command of our captain, Scott Suderno.
